Art Studio Rentals

Helping artists create is at the core of what we do – and providing space for them to work is an essential priority.

Art Works Downtown rents 27 studios in our Fourth Street building at affordable rates to artists in all media. We welcome both individual artists and groups such as Sweet Spirit Ceramics Center. Studios range from 100 to 900 sq ft, averaging from $150 to $1000/month.

Please fill out an application to be considered for a studio, or to be placed on our waiting list.

Rentals are popular and sometimes become available with short notice. Applications are juried.
Artists must maintain a yearly business license with the City of San Rafael, and follow all guidelines.

To be placed on our waiting list, please download and return the application completed in full, along with samples of your work, bio of professional experience, and your artist statement.
