Public Art

Art is all around you. As an advocate and resource for art in our community, we work with other arts organizations, businesses, and government to promote art outside our walls – both in local venues and in outdoor areas of San Rafael.
Outdoor Sculpture Program
This program places outdoor sculptures and other installations on view in public locations in and around the downtown area. An ongoing partnership between Art Works Downtown and the City of San Rafael, AWD's Outdoor Scupture Program regularly selects new works for display.

Submit your work
Work should be innovative in design and materials, appeal to a wide audience, and be large enough to be seen from the street. Entries are accepted year-round, and installations and sculptures are chosen by a jury of artists.
