Isidoro-Feldelfo Angeles

sculpture, painting

Isidoro-Filadelfo was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1965. From an early age, he loved to draw. In 2005 at the age of 40, he began his formal art training under the instruction of Emily Lazarre at the College of Marin in Kentfield, CA. Isidoro had his first solo show in 2007 at College of Marin Student Center. He continues to enjoy critical acclaim for his uniquely bold take on figurative realism. He lives and works in San Rafael, CA.

Sculpture Art Statement

NATURE: everything I see outside is beautiful and engaging; and on the inside nature transports me from one world into another world, from one side to the other. Each sculpture has its own story told through its shapes and forms. Texture, colors, light, shadows and tones from the outside to the inside revealed, creating feelings and new sensations. The sculpture has its own nature. The exterior one side and the inside a deeper part. The story is there waiting to be discovered; waiting, waiting for you, for me, for us, to discover it.
