Untamed
Paintings by Virginia Fauvre
February 13–March 7, 2015
Reception: February 13 • 5–8pm
A phrase from Rainer Maria Rilke—“into the windy heavens"—captures the mood of this exhibit. Patterns and energy seen in flocks of birds correspond to the gestural marks put on the canvas, whether they look like birds or not. Virginia paints from impulses in her that are un-named and un-tamed. Her paintings express the outer and inner natural worlds, inviting the viewer to discover his or her own untamed depths and inner landscape.
