b2ap3_thumbnail_Deborah-Darling-Grey.jpgI recently made a donation to DrawBridge, a local non-profit that provides expressive art programs for homeless and other underserved children.  (I know, I know...we're already a non-profit either by virtue of not making any money or by being a 501c3).  I donated 10-1/2 gallon jugs of tempera paint gathering dust in my studio.  DrawBridge holds art groups at 23 sites; homeless shelters, safe houses, emergency shelters and serves about 900 kids each year.  Through art children can find joy and release emotions that are scary.  Access to art makes a difference.  I work with children with special needs one on one.  Drawbridge is in its 28th year and is currently expending its program offerings.

    Pretty cool.
