Columns of Light in Lake Wakatipu
Somewhere along the line - maybe in another blog post - I have explained my painting is intuitive. I often start with a plan, an image or idea even after all these years only to find it is irrelevant; the paint, the paper and the brush in my hand have no interest in my thoughts or feelings regarding what might or should appear on the paper in front of me. Despite the fact I personally never know what is going to show up I'd be the first to admit that along the way a certain style has

Move Me Studio on 4th St. between C & D/New - Sat Nam Rasayan Class
I have always felt Art Works Downtown is uniquely responsible for sprucing up 4th St. back in the 90's when things looks a bit dodgy. Look where we are today! I think about global warming alot. I dream about it. I buy umbrellas, stuffed animals and tote bags from the National Wildlife Federation, The Environmental Defense Fund, the Sierra Club, the National Parks Service, etc. I have a drawer full of return addess stickes with pictures on them of polar ears, whales,

The Fish Are Confused...Global Warming 1
Because I am an intuitive painter I am often surprised by what comes up. I have tried planning to paint something in particular. In fact I have often walked around for literally weeks on end with a particular image haunting my senses and taking up a lot of room on the thinking end of things. Then comes the moment when I sit down to paint and it is as if it never existed and something completely different appears. OMG or WTF! I was so sure! But my intuition is a deeper stream that
