Alina Campbell, née “Joanee Alina Honour”, left her Southern California roots behind to study Fashion Design at FIT in New York City where she was influenced by the punk scene, street style and vintage clothing in the East Village. Working in the famed nightclub “Limelight” in the early 90’s, the crowd also influenced the corsets she created for “Harlot NYC”, a line featured in Trash and Vaudeville and Patricia Field. Since then, she has spent the past 20 years as fashion designer, museum costume archivist and stylist. Her professional experience includes designing costumes for videos and performances which include: Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Eve and Pink, among others. She received her degree in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and continues designing today working on special projects.
