Art Works Downtown announces drawing, a show of original artwork, juried by Suzanne Gray McSweeney and Donna Seagergray of Seagergray Gallery.

The show includes 28 artists from the San Francisco Bay Area. The show opens Friday, May 24, 2013, and runs through Friday, July 5, 2013, in the Art Works Downtown main gallery located at 1337 Fourth Street, San Rafael, CA, 94901. Art Works Downtown is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm. An opening reception will be held for the artists and the public Friday, June 14, 2013 from 5p.m. to 8 p.m.

The theme of the show is drawing in all forms. While traditional drawings were welcome in the submission process, the jurors encouraged non-traditional mediums and concepts pushing the boundaries of drawing. Drawing media includes charcoal, pencil, pastel, marker, and mixed media.

Our premier gallery serves as the public face of Art Works Downtown, showcasing the best of local art through inviting storefront windows in the heart of downtown San Rafael. The gallery hosts six to eight juried or invitational exhibitions a year.
